The Baby Bjorn Travel cot is so easy to set up and fold away. Just open the bag, lift out the travel cot and set it up in one simple movement. There are no loose parts to attach. The legs unfold automatically and once you have put the mattress in you have a stable travel cot to use at home or on trips. When you’re not using it, simply fold it up and store it in the practical bag included with your hire. Linen sets are available for just $7 – just add a linen pack when ordering.
Your cot rental comes with a soft and comfortable mattress, making it a cosy place for your baby to sleep. The mattress has a built-in base plate that keeps the lightweight travel cot standing firmly on the floor, so your child can always sleep securely. Suitable for infants 0-3 years.
Age limit:
From newborn to approximately three years, or until your child can climb out of the travel cot. There is no upper weight limit dictated by the manufacturers of this portacot.

Going out visiting? Baby staying with your Mum for the day? They’re light enough to carry and can fit in the car boot when folded. All-in-all they’re a handy addition to your baby arsenal, but no substitute for a regular cot for everyday use because they’re not as durable.The Australian Standards for portable or folding cots is AS2195:2010 Folding cots—Safety requirements came into effect April 2010. The standard is designed to prevent death or injury to children and lists safety features required to make portable or folding cots safe.
- Don’t use a portable cot if your child weighs more than 15kg.
- Don’t put additional mattresses or use pillows in the cot. Placing any additional mattresses or padding including pillows in a portacot creates unsafe conditions for your baby. This creates a space where a baby or child can get trapped and possibly suffocate. The original mattress supplied with your portacot is the only mattress which should be used – young infants do not require thick or extra padding in a portable cot.
- Inside surfaces should be free of bumps, ledges and protruding parts so children can’t hit their heads, get their clothing snagged or use them as a foothold to climb out of the cot.
- Look for possible entrapment areas, where children can trap limbs, heads or fingers.
- There should be no sharp edges or points where a child could injure itself.
- The mattress should be firm enough and fit snugly without gaps on any side.
- Remove all toys from the cot when the child is sleeping.
- The rails should have two locking mechanisms to prevent accidental collapse and closure. Check these before placing your child in the cot.
- The cot floor shouldn’t sag. Press down on the base to check this.
- Injuries may be sustained by cots that are unsafe. Avoid using any portable cot that does not assemble correctly and older children are to be discouraged from climbing in or playing in these cots as this may cause undue strain on the frame and render it unsafe.
